Have you sniffed out our Snoopy Sculpture?

We’re making our mark on the most iconic dog in the world as part of Dog’s Trust’s ‘A Dog’s Trail with Snoopy’ to promote our dog fouling campaign and wider Caru Cymru work to a whole new audience.

We’ve sponsored a Snoopy Sculpture, called ‘A Dog’s Day Out’, at the spectacular free public art trail pawing its way across Cardiff, Caerphilly and Porthcawl between Friday 8 April and Sunday 5 June 2022.

Our Snoopy Sculpture can be found near the Summerhouse café at Bute park where we’re hosting a ‘Paws and Pick’ dog-friendly litter picking event on Saturday 9 April 10.00am until 12.00pm. On the day we’ll be giving away doggy treats, dog poo bags and paw print temporary tattoos. There’ll also be plenty of photo opportunities with our dog photo board and selfie frames (and our giant Snoopy Sculpture of course!) to share on your social media channels.

If you’re visiting Bute Park with your four-legged friends, be sure to sniff out our Snoopy Sculpture, take a photo and tag us on social media with the hashtags #BagItBinIt #CaruCymru #ADogsTrail

By sponsoring a Snoopy Sculpture we want to encourage dog owners to do the right thing and leave only pawprints when out and about with your pets.

Our Snoopy Sculpture has been designed by the lovely Cardiff based illustrator, Emily Hilditch, and it features dog friendly beaches, the river Taff with its trails and the Millennium Bridge leading to one of Cardiff’s many parks. To celebrate Cardiff’s diverse green spaces, there are many different dogs enjoying their day out with their owners, swimming, chasing balls, digging and enjoying the local wildlife in and around the city.

Sponsoring a Snoopy Sculpture as part of Dog’s Trust’s ‘A Dog’s Trail with Snoopy’ is a great opportunity to associate Keep Wales Tidy and our dog fouling campaign with a high-profile and hugely popular event. Through our sponsorship of ‘A Dog’s Day out’ Snoopy Sculpture, we hope to raise awareness of responsible dog ownership to a whole new audience. Emily’s design is inspired by great places to walk your dog in and around Cardiff and even features a dog owner carrying a dog poo bag. We’re delighted to be making our mark on the most iconic dog in the world and encourage all dog owners taking part in the trail to leave only pawprints.

We’ve sponsored a Snoopy Sculpture as part of Caru Cymru (a Welsh phrase meaning ‘Love Wales’) – an inclusive movement led by Keep Wales Tidy and local authorities to inspire people to take action and care for the environment.

Caru Cymru has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
