Promoter

  • The competition promoter is Keep Britain Tidy (“Promoter”).
  • The Promoter is registered at Keep Britain Tidy is a registered Charity No. 1071737. Registered as a Company limited by guarantee in England & Wales No. 3496361. Registered office at Elizabeth House, The Pier, Wigan, WN3 4EX.

The Competition

  • The competition is open to any school or nursery in the United Kingdom who registers a Spring Clean Cymru clean-up on the Keep Wales Tidy website (the “Entrant”).
  • Each Entrant will be invited to join an Eco-Schools Live Assembly for a reading of Sarah Robert’s book, ‘Somebody Crunched Colin’.
  • The competition is not open to any employee (and their families) of the Promoter’s group of companies, the supplier of any prize or any other companies associated with the competition.
  • In order to be entered into the Great Big School Clean competition, all Entrants will need to register to take part in Spring Clean Cymru as a school on the Keep Wales Tidy website, opting in for their details to be shared with Keep Britain Tidy.
  • Registration for the competition will go live on the Keep Wales Tidy website between 00.01 on 12 February and 23.59 on 21 April 2022.
  • The Promoter will not accept entries which breach any laws in relation to content, include profanity or references which infringe the rights of third parties.
  • Entrants must not engage in or be connected with any conduct that may bring the Promoter or any products into disrepute.
  • The Promoter will not accept responsibility for any entries that are late, lost, damaged, incomplete, fraudulent or not received due to technical conditions. Incomplete or duplicate entries will not be eligible. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to reject any entries without reason or prior notice.

Winner Selection

  • The 8 x winning Entrants (the “Winners”) will be selected at random by the Promoter from all schools that register and enter valid school litter pick details.
  • The results of the competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The Winners will be notified before 30th April by a representative from the Promoter by phone or email.
  • The Winners will have 10 days to respond to initial notification confirming they wish to accept the prize.  Failure to respond within the 10 days will result in an alternative winner being selected and the prize will be awarded to a reserve winner selected in the same manner.
  • You acknowledge that the Promoter may wish to reproduce, publish, exhibit, transmit and broadcast including in the media and use your name to identify you in relation to publicizing the competition and you as the winner.

Prize

For primary school or nursery Entrants, there will be 2 x goody bags available containing 35 signed copies of Sarah Robert’s book, ’Somebody Crunched Colin’ and 5 x signed copies available of Sarah Robert’s ‘Somebody Swallowed Stanley’ and ‘Someone Crunched Colin’ for your school library.

For secondary school Entrants, there will be 1 x live assembly with Sarah Roberts to discuss the impact of litter on wildlife.

All prizes are subject to availability.

The prizes will be send to the winners in the post.

The live assembly prize will take place on a mutually convenient date and is only redeemable within a 6 month period only.

The prize is also non-negotiable and no cash alternative will be offered.

General

  • By entering the competition, the Entrant agrees and is bound by these terms and conditions.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms at any time without notice and to communicate the changes to Entrants by updating these terms on its website.
  • The Promoter shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control or amount to force majeure and shall be entitled to suspend or terminate the competition as a result.
  • Entrants acknowledge that the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media provider, and that you are providing information to the Promoter and not to any third party.
  • Any personal data submitted in connection with the competition will be processed by Keep Wales Tidy, Keep Britain Tidy (the Promoter) and any third party appointed for the purposes of administering and managing the competition. The Promoter will not use any personal data for any other purposes without the consent of the Entrant.   • The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, costs, expenses or claims suffered by entrants as a result of entering this competition or accepting a prize.
  • Nothing in these terms and conditions shall be deemed to limit or exclude the liability of any party for death or personal injury caused by that party’s negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot by law be validly limited or excluded.
  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
