For the first time, we have included LEAMS data for street verges (this does not impact your overall score). Do you have any observations on this element of your report?

I was really surprised in Powys, inclyding the grass verges actually improved our cleanliness score. I appreicate in this vast rural beauty spot, they are relatively cleaner than streets in Cardiff or trunk road laybys but i would say generally i think here at least the towns and ressidental streets are reasonably clean but the unrestricted highways are the more littered areas as they are just so difficult and labourious to litter pick

We are going to start doing LEAMS instead of the highways inspectors now so i am just getting the lads set up on Epi-collect, one thing i noted highways prior methodology seems to just be to pick a random sample of streets from zone 1, 2, 3 etc, any guidance on trying to make sure we select a representative sample to audit, other than common sense mixing rich/poor/residential/retail type areas ??

We are running LEAMS and Epicollect training on 6th April. (See our other post in this forum). If you can’t make it, one of my team would be happy to run a session with you and colleagues.
