Spring Clean Cymru 2022 Spring Clean Cymru 2022 will be taking place from 25 March to 10 April. We’re looking to extend the reach of the campaign even further this year and would like to get your thoughts on community and business networks or organisations we should engage with. We welcome any suggestions at a local, regional or national level. This topic has 3 replies, 2 voices, and was last updated 1 year, 7 months ago by agilbert. I think Scouts and McDonalds are a bit obvious, tried and tested, WI & Wildlife trust are good in Powys, what about reaching out to big corporates like Barclays Bank and Civil Service who would probably PAY you to take their management team out for a team bonding away day on a beautiful rural mountainside ? Something which i think we would especially support and gain from and if not all Welsh councils all the rural ones would be an agricultural link, get the Young Farmers out picking maybe and highlight the problems livestock face from litter and fly tipping etc, problem is alot of farmers would expect us to clear up their private land though. The other obvious thing in town centres we have done this in england before is get the Business Improvement District to fund extra street cleaning 14 February 2022 at 1:18 pm #4576 wasteawarenesspowysParticipant Something for fly tipping stereotyped but maybe litter too is that “white van man” demographic so what about posters and roashows at Construction/Building associations but also maybe doing some engagement events at Jewsons / builders merchants to raise the profile of litter and FT and Waste Duty of Care ? These places are often on grotty industrial estates which being privately maintained dont get cleaned and you get alot of e.g. pallet wrap blowing off the lorries and such like so maybe their staff could engage in a pick and they might also donate you some building materials towards LP4N type projects or dumpy bags and tools to clear garden waste and litter 14 February 2022 at 3:24 pm #4580 agilbertParticipant The Young Farmers idea is genius!
