The quality of the local environment matters to everyone – this is not just about litter but refers to any issue that you might come across when you walk out of your front door, from litter to dog fouling, fly-tipping, graffiti and even the quality of the air you breathe and the proximity of the nearest green space.

Living or working in a poor local environment is not just unsightly but can have a huge impact on your physical and mental health. It can affect how much investment an area attracts or levels of antisocial behaviour and can even impact on local democracy.

By increasing the quality of the areas where we live and work, we can create a Wales of thriving, healthy communities for people and wildlife.
