To celebrate our 50th year, we’ll be popping up at a whole host of exciting events this summer – from triathlons and outdoor cinemas to marathons and business shows. Of course, we couldn’t forget about the pinnacle event in the British agricultural calendar, the Royal Welsh Show!
We’ll have a stand at Avenue A for four days and would love for you to come by and say hello. There are also two very special events that we’d love you to be part of:
Tuesday 19 July: #TidyVoices takeover of the Welsh Water stand
Calling all 15–25-year-olds! It’s time to have your say on the environment.
As part of our mission to give young people a voice, we’re taking over the Welsh Water stand on 19 July.
Our #TidyVoices team will be encouraging showground visitors aged 15-25 to complete a short survey about how we should be looking after the environment. We’ll also be on the lookout for environmental leaders of the future to join our brand-new Youth Board.
BBC Radio Wales DJ and reggae artist Aleighcia Scott will be helping us spread the word in her role as Youth Ambassador. She’ll be our ‘roving reporter’ at the showground, chatting to young people all about environmental issues.
Wednesday 20 July: Nathan Wyburn at the Keep Wales Tidy stand
Together with portrait artist Nathan Wyburn and drinks manufacturer Radnor Hills, we want to inspire visitors to the showground think about where their waste ends up and support the circular economy. We don’t want to give too much away, but Nathan has some BIG plans to create a portrait of an environmental icon….
Come along to our stand in Avenue A to recycle your plastic bottles and see this very special artwork take shape.
Tickets for the Royal Welsh Show are on sale now (prices start from just £5). Visit the Royal Welsh Show website for more information rwas.wales/royal-welsh.
We can’t wait to see you there!
