Come along to Gnoll Country Park and discover the Urban Long Forest project in Neath Port Talbot, while getting creative with materials from hedgerows!
We’ll be joined by Wild Plant Paper, who will show you how to make beautiful handmade paper using natural materials gathered right from the hedgerow. A perfect blend of conservation and creativity. You’ll also have the chance to make your own seed bombs to take home and help create more wild spaces.
The Urban Long Forest project is protecting, restoring and celebrating hedgerows and ancient and veteran trees across Neath Port Talbot. Through volunteering, training and community events, we’re working with local people to help protect and enhance these important habitats for wildlife and future generations.
Made possible thanks to support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and National Lottery players, the project is delivered in partnership with Coed Cadw, Adult Learning Wales, Llais y Goedwig and local authorities. Together, we are co-designing and delivering a programme of education, training and hands-on conservation action.
