We’re Keep Wales Tidy – the charity working across Wales to protect our environment for now and for the future.
We have a collective vision of a beautiful Wales cared for and enjoyed by everybody.
Practically, we know that a good quality environment matters to people and that the benefits can make a real difference to our health, well-being, communities and to our economy.
And as an added bonus it is great for nature too.
We’re excited to announce that applications for our Local Places for Nature scheme have reopened, and we have hundreds of free garden packages to give away to community groups and organisations.
Since launching in 2020, more than 1,000 gardens have been created, restored and enhanced across Wales. Community groups and organisations of all shapes and sizes have been involved.
The free packages range from small gardening projects to community orchards and large-scale makeovers. Each one includes native plants, tools and materials, guidance on how to install the garden, and practical support from our expert project officers.
Our work ranges far and wide – from practical action and environmental education, to setting standards for parks and beaches.
A brand-new movement focused on changing our behaviour, preventing waste and litter.
Educating and empowering young people to make positive changes to their school and community
Programmes designed to regenerate and restore hundreds of habitats across Wales
Setting the benchmark for parks, beaches, marinas and green spaces in the UK and beyond
From a #2MinuteStreetClean to an organised day of activities – there really is an event for everyone.
