Green spaces

One in six species in Wales is under threat. It’s a shocking statistic but if we work together and take urgent action, we can reverse this decline.

We’re helping nature’s recovery by protecting hedgerows and establishing biodiverse new gardens in our drive to create and restore green spaces.

Of course, accessible green spaces provide important havens for people as well as wildlife. We want to provide a much-needed boost to the wellbeing of our communities by getting as many volunteers as possible involved in our projects.

Our nature programmes

Through our nature programmes, we transform underused spaces into thriving community habitats, supporting nature recovery, wellbeing and inclusive access where it’s needed most.

Local Places for Nature

Groups and organisations of all shapes and sizes can apply for Local Places for Nature. Our pre-paid packages range from small gardening projects to orchards and large-scale makeovers. Each one includes lots of native plants, tools, resources and other materials.
