Hedgerow Bioblitz at Bute Park

Join the Urban Long Forest project for a fun day at Bute Park and take part in our Hedgerow Bioblitz, a chance to explore, identify and record the amazing wildlife living in our local hedgerows. Whether you’re new to nature or already love wildlife, everyone is welcome.

Come along and:

• Help us discover and record the incredible wildlife living in hedgerows as part of our Hedgerow Bioblitz.
• Find out more about the Urban Long Forest project and discover how you can get involved through volunteering, training and community events.

There will also be hedgerow-themed face painting for both younger visitors and adults, so everyone can get involved in the fun!

Whether you’re interested in wildlife, looking for something different to do, or simply curious about the nature on your doorstep, we’d love to see you there.

The Urban Long Forest project is protecting, restoring and celebrating hedgerows and ancient and veteran trees across Cardiff. Through volunteering, training and community events, we’re working with local people to help protect and enhance these important habitats for wildlife and future generations.

Made possible thanks to support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and National Lottery players, the project is delivered in partnership with Coed Cadw, Adult Learning Wales, Llais y Goedwig and local authorities. Together, we are co-designing and delivering a programme of education, training and hands-on conservation action.
