Fix Our Climate

We know that our planet is getting warmer and that humans have caused this by creating extra greenhouse gases.

If we are going to maintain the delicate balance that our precious atmosphere provides, we need to stop adding more gases into our air and take action to remove the ones that are already there.

The things we do every day contribute to our ‘Carbon Footprint’. The good news is this means we can all be part of the solution through our choices and actions.

For this challenge you could consider:

  • Investigating the impact of a warming planet on weather, sea levels, habitats and food production
  • How to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide and methane your school and community produces
  • The importance of youth voice in affecting change
  • Removing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere using nature and technology
  • Finding the hidden carbon in the things that we purchase

Submissions for Climate Challenge Cymru 2026 have now closed.
