Reduce and Reuse Thematic Training

Rubbish

Explore practical ways to rethink waste in this engaging one-hour Reduce and Reuse training session, designed to increase knowledge and confidence in introducing these important concepts to young children.

What will be covered in the session?

The session explores the waste hierarchy, the circular economy, where everyday materials come from and where they end up, and why recycling is only one small part of the solution. Participants will discover inspiring approaches already making a difference – from refill shops and deposit return schemes to creating useful new items from waste.

Through engaging and interactive activities, participants will gain simple, adaptable ideas for encouraging children to examine what things are made from, look more closely at what goes into the bin and become curious about how materials can be reduced, reused and kept in circulation for longer.

We’ll be hosting sessions in  English and Welsh:

  • English – 14 October 2026, 1.00pm-2.00pm
  • Welsh – 15 October 2026, 1.00pm-2.00pm
