About the award
Judges are keen to hear about young people whose volunteer efforts have made their communities cleaner, greener and healthier.
This award recognises every contribution, no matter how big or small.
Nominations could include:
- Direct, practical action such as litter picking, tree planting, habitat creation.
- Raising awareness and educating others. This could mean leading environmental clubs at school, running environmental campaigns, or using social media to highlight environmental issues.
- Inspiring others through creative projects. Think of using art, music or film to bring environmental issues to life, or writing impactful articles, stories or poems.
- Championing sustainable practices. This could mean organising reuse or recycling programmes, helping organisations reduce energy or conserve water, or even hosting fundraising events for environmental causes.
