About the award
Judges are looking for evidence of regular clean-up activities and visible improvements. They want to hear how the community was involved, the amount of litter and waste removed, any additional actions taken to prevent litter re-occurring, and the positive change the work has brought to volunteers and the wider area.
Nominations might include:
- Regular litter picks in a neighbourhood by a community group.
- Dedicated beach or river cleans to protect our coastline and waterways.
- School or organisation clean-ups in their local surrounding areas.
- Fly-tipping clearances.
