Big Cardiff Tidy is back!
For two weeks this autumn, communities across the capital will come together once again for Big Cardiff Tidy 2026 – a big, friendly, volunteer effort where people across Cardiff team up to tidy their local areas and make a visible difference.
The event is led by Keep Wales Tidy, Love Where You Live and Cardiff Rivers Group.

Throughout the campaign, you can get involved in a range of litter-picking activity, including:
- Joining a pre-arranged litterpick (see map below)
- Borrowing equipment from one of our Litterpicking Hubs
- Or you could host your own litterpick with a group of friends, your place of work or family.
It’s a great opportunity to meet other likeminded volunteers and help make a difference.
We’re aiming to host events in every ward across Cardiff, bringing people together with a shared goal: a cleaner, greener city.
Who can take part?
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a community group; a school; a business; a Litter Picking Hub; a family; or an individual looking to help your community.
Taking part helps to improve your local area, making it cleaner, safer and more welcoming – after all clean streets encourage positive behaviours and build pride within communities.
