You’ll learn more about the importance of ancient and veteran trees, how the Ancient Tree Inventory works, and how you can get involved in recording these special trees in your local neighbourhood.

This taster session is delivered by the Woodland Trust as part of the Urban Long Forest Project, which is protecting, restoring and celebrating hedgerows and ancient and veteran trees across Wales. Through volunteering, training and community events, the project works with local people to help protect and enhance these important habitats for wildlife and future generations.
Made possible thanks to support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and National Lottery players, the project is delivered in partnership with Coed Cadw, Adult Learning Wales, Llais y Goedwig and local authorities. Together, we are co-designing and delivering a programme of education, training and hands-on conservation action.
