Why Keep Wales Tidy?

We know that a good quality environment matters to people, and the benefits can make a real difference to health, well-being, communities and to our economy – and as an added bonus it is great for nature too.

For 50 years, we have been creating spaces that feel safe, clean, and green through schemes like Local Places for Nature; we have inspired generations of children through our Eco-Schools programme, raised standards in environmental excellence with our Blue Flag, Green Flag and Green Key Awards; and fostered links with government with our award-winning anti-litter and waste programme Caru Cymru. In the face of the climate crisis, biodiversity loss and pollution, we have informed government policy and developed projects that support positive sustainable action.

Join us and make a difference.

At Keep Wales Tidy, I’m proud to play a part in projects that support volunteers, restore nature, and strengthen communities. The variety keeps the work engaging, and I feel valued for the different perspectives I bring as a neurodivergent person. Being part of such a supportive team means I can keep growing while making a positive difference for people and the environment.
