Growing Under Cover and Climate Resilience

Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland

Join us for a free, practical workshop designed for community groups who want to extend their growing season, build climate resilience and connect with other volunteers.

Hosted by Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland, Treforest, the session will be led by project coordinator Holly Usher and combines practical learning with opportunities to share ideas and experiences.

Time: 9.30am – 1.00pm

During the session, you’ll:

  • Take part in a hands-on workshop exploring how to grow food undercover and make the most of your growing space throughout the year.
  • Learn how to keep a food garden productive during the winter months.
  • Take part in an informal discussion and Q&A covering topics such as climate resilience, adapting to changing weather conditions, volunteer recruitment and keeping volunteers motivated.
  • Network with other community growing groups and share experiences in a supportive and relaxed environment.
