Our love language is a litter free Wales

Fall in love with Wales this St Dwynwen’s Day – Wales’ very own version of St Valentine’s Day.

On the most romantic day of the year in Wales, we’re sharing the love and celebrating all our amazing Caru Cymru volunteers, litter champions and community groups that help keep our country beautiful.

Caru Cymru (a Welsh phrase meaning ‘Love Wales’) aims to inspire everyone to take action and care for the environment.

Since the launch of Caru Cymru in March 2021 we have 1,540 new litter champions, 239 community groups, 133 litter picking hubs open and hosted 10,854 clean-up events.

By everybody working together to create a clean and safe environment, we can build stronger, healthier communities and make a positive difference to our planet this St Dwynwen’s Day and every other day of the year.

If you love Wales as much as we do, be part of the Caru Cymru movement.

People are at the heart of Caru Cymru. Join our newly launched Keep Wales Tidy Community Facebook Group to share your stories and pictures.

A litter free Wales sounds great in every language.
