Introducing our biggest ever Local Places for Nature garden

Brand new for 2024! Introducing the Supersize Package, our biggest ever Local Places for Nature garden.

Our Supersize Packages are designed for community organisations who have a huge area of empty, unloved space (roughly the size of two and a half tennis courts) that’s available to transform into a thriving community garden, complete with orchard, food growing area and pond.

A dedicated Keep Wales Tidy officer will help you plan and create your ‘supersize’ garden, but you must commit to caring for it for years to come.

Applications will be assessed by a panel of experts and priority will be given to projects with strong community involvement, those in towns, cities, deprived areas and spaces with little or no access to nature.

Applications for Supersize Packages this year are now closed! Take a look at the other FREE garden packs we have available.

Important information

The minimum area required for a Supersize Package is close to 700 square metres.

Not sure if your site is big enough? The Grid Reference Finder can be a useful tool. It allows you to find your location and draw a polygon, giving you the area in square metres. Click here to go to the Grid Reference Finder (external site)

The variety of trees and plants supplied will depend on the season and availability.

Please make sure you read our frequently asked questions (FAQs) before applying. This is a very large-scale project, so it’s vital that you understand the space and commitment needed. It’s also really important that you know what information and evidence you need to provide before starting your application. This is the best way of boosting your chances of being successful and getting hold of a Supersize Package

Applications for this package are now closed.

Our Development Packages are still big projects, but they only require 215-240 square metres (just less than the size of one tennis court).
