Calling all schools!

At Keep Wales Tidy, we firmly believe that no one is too small to make a big difference. And, when we all come together, that big difference can become huge!

If every child who attends school in Wales picks up just one bag of litter during the Great Big School Clean, we could remove an incredible 500,000 bags of litter from our natural environment.

Taking part in the Great Big School Clean is also a perfect addition to your Eco-Schools Action Plan, helping your school to achieve or retain the Green Flag award. Take a look at our Great Big School Clean Guide for more details.

How to join the Great Big School Clean

You can hold a clean-up (or several clean-ups) anytime between 13 – 29 March, collecting as much litter as you can. You might want to organise your clean-ups during playtime, lunchtime, lesson time, before school or after school — it’s totally up to you.

Let us know how many pupils will take part, for how long, and how many bags they are pledging to collect by filling out the form below. We welcome nurseries to join us too!

Don’t forget that you can always borrow litter picking equipment from our Litter Picking Hubs.

Join a Live Litter Lesson!

Our Eco-Schools Wales Team some very special workshops planned to help get pupils ready for Spring Clean.

These interactive workshops will engage learners in exploring all things litter. Where does it come from? Why is it a problem? What can we do about it?!

Join our Live Litter Lessons on 12 and 13 March.
